Symptoms: Machine won’t agitate, the drum won’t spin, water leaks, or if there’s an odd noise during operation.

Tools: 1/4” nut driver, 5/16” nut driver, Torx T-15 screwdriver, flat blade screwdriver, putty knife, ratchet with 3/8”, 1/2” and 3/4” sockets, a pair of side cutters, spanner wrench.
Optional: hammer.

This GE made Washer Transmission and Brake Assembly replaces the following older part numbers on General Electric, Hotpoint, RCA, Sears and Kenmore Washers: 279566, WH38X0055, WH38X10001, WH38X10003, WH38X1001, WH38X55.
