Sandur Residential School Celebrates 77th Republic Day with a Vision for Character
and Nation Building
SANDUR: Sandur Residential School (SRS) marked India’s 77th Republic Day with
patriotic fervour and a visionary address by Managing Director, Shri Bahirji Ghorpade. The
ceremony commenced with a parade inspection by Smt. SuryaPrabha Ghorpade and Shri
Bahirji Ghorpade.
In his keynote address, Shri Bahirji Ghorpade paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the
framers of the Constitution, emphasizing that in a true republic, the citizens remain supreme.
He highlighted India’s growing global influence, currently ranked 4th in the world, and urged
the younger generation to balance their rights with a deep sense of responsibility.
Focusing on the institution's mission, he stated, "The core of SRS remains character building
and discipline." He further encouraged students to foster a scientific temper and prioritize
physical fitness. The event was attended by Shivpur Shikshana Samithi Secretary Mrs.
Ashiya Banu, Principal Murali Krishna Samudrala, and other school administrators, marking
a successful day of unity and pride.
