On October 31, 2014, after participating in a high-level roundtable with more than thirty secretaries from the government of Nepal, J-PAL cofounder Esther Duflo spoke at a seminar hosted by the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). Duflo and J-PAL affiliated professor Mushfiq Mobarak (Yale University) discussed current research in Nepal, undertaken jointly with ICIMOD and the Ministry of Agriculture. Other featured speakers were David Molden, director general of ICIMOD, and Swarnim Waglé of the Nepal National Planning Commission.
