St. George Regional Airport runway reconstruction underway to resolve blue clay
ST. GEORGE, Utah - (6/10/19) - The St. George Regional Airport shut down all flights through the summer for reconstruction of the runway. The project to remove and replace blue clay soil that caused a rippling effect is expected to take about 120 days. The FAA is helping to fund the project at a total cost of $26 million. The airport is expected to reopen September 26, with a new non-stop flight to and from Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
