To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Amber Hagerman case, the Arlington Police Department and members of Amber's family held a news conference to make a renewed plea to the community for information on her abduction. Although the alert system she inspired (AMBER Alert) has saved hundreds of children worldwide, her murder has remained unsolved.
This is the full, unedited video of the press conference, which was held on January 13, 2021 at the location where she was abducted.
Speakers include:
-Assistant Chief Kevin Kolbye, Assistant Chief over Investigations
-Detective Grant Gildon, Homicide Detective currently assigned to the case
-Sergeant Ben Lopez, a member of the original Amber Hagerman task force and a former Homicide Detective who oversaw the case for several years
-Donna Williams, Amber Hagerman's mother
