In US news and current events today, many people during the coronavirus pandemic, egged on by President Donald Trump, are protesting COVID-19 lockdowns across the U.S. Most recently, armed far-right protesters stormed Michigan’s Capitol to protest the state’s stay-at-home orders.

Police said up to 700 people stood on the state Capitol grounds, some of whom were carrying weapons and bashing state guidance, to push back against coronavirus stay-at-home orders. President Donald Trump sided with the protesters on Twitter, tweeting they are ‘very good people.'
