Donkey Kong is locked up in a cage! You are Donkey Kong Jr and you must save your father from captivity! Avoid the snapjaws and birds and use the fruit at the top to knock them down. Jump and grab the key (by pushing left and jump at the same time) and unlock one part of the cage. The faster you do it, the more points you get. If all parts of the cage are unlocked, Donkey Kong is free. If Junior hits a snapjaw or bird, or jumps and misses the key, he will get a miss. 300 points clears all misses. If there are no misses, you receive double points until you miss. Game A is easier than Game B. In Game B, things are faster and Junior holds on to a vine for 5 seconds instead of 10.
