The Wilmington School Committee have their first meeting in their new location at the new town hall in the Hearing Room. The committee also have a newer 6:00 pm time for foreseeable future meetings.
The meeting opened with a student report from the Wilmington Middle School Reps as they discuss tickets for the school dance, the recent STEM fair and more. The meeting continues with discussion of the Disposal of Surplus Materials memo, discussion of various warrants, and did a read through of new policies. The committee talked about various openings in the school district, including the Director of Finance position that will be scheduling interview starting March 23rd. There was also a discussion of the school calendar and holidays that ended with the vote that moving forward Good Friday will be an early release day.
