Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt Rota-Flex fifth wheel pin box for the Lippert 1116 pin boxes. This has a 19,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this pivoting pin box will replace the standard pin box that's on your fifth wheel trailer to help improve handling and limit the strain on your truck and your trailer. Now this Curt Rota-Flex pin box is an exact replacement of the Lippert Rota-flex pin box. Has the pivoting head right up front here that has the built-in rubber compound right up here.

That'll help reduce the chucking and absorb any road shock for a lot smoother ride as you tow your trailer. You can see there's your pivot bolt. And then you can see this whole head section right here will pivot. Now I'm locking this pin box that has little give at the point where the trailer and the hitch are connected. This Rota-Flex can pivot slightly to compensate for those times that your trailer suddenly pushes or pulls on your tow vehicle.

Now because of the pin box head, not the king pin itself is moving. That chucking that often occurs when the kingpin jerks around inside the hitch, is significantly reduced. This does have a nice black powder coat finish on it. It provides rust resistance. It is a sturdy steel construction.

The king pin right down here connects to any standard fifth wheel trailer hitch. Now this Curt Rota-Flex will install in place of your Lipper 1116 fifth wheel pin box on your fifth wheel. And what's nice is this Rota-Flex uses the same bolts that held on your original pin box. So there's no additional hardware required and it'll come out of the box just like this, all ready to be put on your trailer. So there's no assembly required.

Now, one thing I do want to mention, because this Rota-Flex is quite heavy. It's a little over a hundred pounds. We do recommend they have a friend help you support its weight during installation. Now this part is made in the USA. Few specs on it again, the weight capacity is 19,000 pounds. Give you a few measurements on this. The overall width, which is going to be measured outside to outside. So if we put our ruler on that, you can see outside to outside is going to be right at about 12.5 inches for the overall width. And the last two critical measurements are going to be measured from the center of the kingpin, to the front row of holes, and then the center of the king pin to the back row of holes. And to get the center of the king pin, I'm going to use this pivot bolt right here, which is about at the center. So if we measure from the center of that bolt. Front row holes, it's going to be right at 14.5 inches. And if we go to the back row of holes, center the king pin in the back row is 23.25 inches.
