Space Park Leicester time lapse – complete phase two build

Описание: The second phase of Space Park Leicester has now been completed, in this video you can watch the development progress from start to finish. Housing laboratories, workshops and calibration facilities along with high technology projects such as the double-walled insulator for the Mars Sample Return 2026 NASA ESA Mission as well as one of the UK’s largest academic clean rooms for the assembling and testing of space equipment, the second phase opened to occupants at the end of December 2021.

Building upon the heritage and space-science excellence of the University of Leicester, Space Park is a collaborative community of industry, academics and students working together to drive growth in space and space-enabled sectors.

A place for world-leading research, impactful innovation and a wide-range of skills and educational development opportunities.

The community has been deliberately created to cover innovative upstream engineering through to the downstream capture, analysis and application of space data. It is this integrated “end to end” working that makes the Space Park Leicester community so unique.
