This process has been underway for a while and these days has accelerated with the sale of water and drying of Zayandehrood. One of these villages, from which Rahmat and Prosperity has long passed away and the dust of oblivion is on its walls and doors, is the historic village of Rahmat-Abad. Rahmatabad village is located in the Jerqaoyeh district of Isfahan city 59 km southeast of the city and along the road linking Isfahan-Jerqavieh, 14 km after the several thousand years old village of Qarneh and before the village of Ganjabad. These days no one lives in Rahmatabad, and its old houses have become unauthorized diggers who dream of finding treasure, digging the soil of the village into rubble, emptying under the walls, going to the old mill at night and using tractors to find the big stone of the mill so that they may find gold coins under it, and the wooden door of the old village bathroom
