A total eclipse of the Sun is an absolutely fascinating event. When the last solar eclipse took place in Germany, I could go to a place in the umbra with a friend, to Baden-Baden. The weather was not too good that day, it was cloudy and promised to be rainy. Nevertheless, when the moon started to occult the sun, the clouds broke and an open sky allowed the full sight of the astonomical spectacle. It was just great! :-)

I filmed the eclipse with a Bauer C107XL on Kodachrome 40 Super-8 film. The photo at 1:53 was shot with a Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 camera and a Tamron 70-210/3.8-4 (46A) lens on Kodak Ektachrome 64.

Eine totale Sonnenfinsternis ist ein absolut faszinierender Anblick. Als die letzte Sonnenfinsternis in Deutschland stattfand, war es mir möglich, sie im Kernschatten mit Freunden in Baden-Baden zu beobachten. Das Wetter war gar nicht so gut an jenem Tag, es bewölkt war und sah nach Regenn aus. Trotzdem brach die Wolkendecke auf, als der Mond die Sonne zu verdecken begann, und wir hatten einen guten Ausblick auf das astonomische Spektakel. Es war einfach toll! :-)

Un eclipse total del sol es un espectáculo absolutamente fascinante. Cuando el último eclipse solar se produjo en Alemania, pude ir a un lugar en la penumbra con amigos, a Baden-Baden. No hacia buen tiempo aquel día, estaba nublado con buenas perspectivas de lluvia. Sin embargo, cuando la luna comenzó a ocultar el sol, las nubes se fueron y un cielo claro permitió la vista libre del espectáculo astronómico. Fue simplemente genial! :-)

Une éclipse totale de Soleil est un spectacle absolument fascinant. Quand la dernière éclipse solaire a eu lieu en Allemagne, je pouvais aller à une place dans l'ombre avec mon amie, à Baden-Baden. Le temps n'était pas trop beau ce jour-là,beaucoup des nuages et avec de bonnes perspectives de la pluie. Néanmoins, quand la lune a commencé à occulter le soleil, les nuages ​​se sont brisées et le ciel ouvert a permis une pleine vue du spectacle astonomical. C'était simplement génial! :-)
