Rotations are coordinated movements between two or more players and are vital for creating space and progressing forward. The first rotation will simply see the midfield unit create a double pivot to allow the opposition’s forward line to be broken. Moving forward a common rotation will see a midfielder, usually a deep-lying playmaker move between the two centre-backs.
