Hinged Lid Box

Описание: This tutorial shows you how to make a sturdy and decorative cardboard hinged lid box. This classic box has so many uses, including keeping your handmade books in. It would also make for a fun treasure box for your kids or a great gift box.

Here is a great source for the bookboard, or binder's board, used to construct the box. You can get it in several different thicknesses, and you'll probably want a thick board (like this ~3mm board) so your box is nice and sturdy.

You can also buy wheat starch to make your bookcloth paste. This has the gluten removed which makes it a bit more resistant to insects. (Not that I've ever had an issue with insects eating my books :)
