In this video, Paul Lewing demonstrates how he uses a mouth atomizer to spray paint the inside of a porcelain bowl with china paint. He uses a very fine brush to finish the outline of the elephant that he painted on the bowl. The bowl is fired in the pottery kiln after every layer of paint.
Paul is the author of the book "China Painting & Overglaze". He is one of the online teachers at TeachinArt, and one of the few artists who presented hands-on workshops in all states of the USA. His ceramic and painting studio is in Shoreline, Washington. Paul is known for his hand-painted, custom-made murals, kitchen backsplashes, fireplace and bathroom tiles, as well as his wall paintings with acrylics.
