Here is a video I put together back in May this year, featuring three examples of British machines from over the years.
First a load of whites is washed in the Hotpoint 9540 Electronic 1000 De Luxe on Auto Prewash - Heavy soil, which is a White Cottons programme preceded by an automatic pre wash. The Heavy Soil button is activated to boost the wash temperature up from the default energy saving 70° up to 85°.
A load of bedding is being washed simultaneously in the Hoover A3260 Electron 1100 De Luxe on Fast Coloureds, giving a 60° wash followed by 4 deep rinses and an 1100rpm spin.
Once the Hoover is finished, a load of coloureds is then washed in the Hotpoint WD71 Ultima 1200 Washer Dryer, on a Non Fast Coloureds programme.
Finally the washing is finished off in the White Knight electronic sensor tumble dryer, alongside the Zanussi Dual Temperature (though technically not British 😉).
