This class was designed with beginners in mind. Whether you are absolutely new to yoga or if you have done few classes here and there, or even if you are a seasoned practitioner, this class will help you become more aware of your body as you find your groove in the flow and allow you to be expressive as you flow from one pose to the other.
In this practice we will focus on deep slow stretches that target the deeper tissues including our joints where we will be holding postures from 1 to 3 minutes as we dive deep into not just our physical body, but also deeper into our minds as we aim to find stillness within. This restorative practice allows us to move away from the daily grind of our busy lifestyles where we're constantly jumping from 1 thing to another, or perhaps for some of us, we are focusing on doing strenuous exercises because we want to achieve a certain look and so we push ourselves to our limit until the body finally gives in and cause injuries. Although the world today glamorizes those who push themselves constantly to achieve goals, we must not forget to also take care of ourselves when we need to. Yin Yoga therefore offers a BALANCE, to allow your mind and body to step back from the noise and give back to yourself.

I completed my yoga teacher training from the Life Management Yoga Centre in Hong Kong which focused on the Classical Yoga where I learned that Yoga is very much a way of life. It is much more than the weird and wonderful poses we see. The What/Why/How we do our yoga practice somehow associates with how we deal with our own circumstances in life. This truly resonated with me, and from then on whenever I arrive on the mat, I strive to be a better version of myself, so that I can apply what I learned on the mat into my daily life. As a result, I've noticed a significant improvement in my overall physical and mental health. Our health is truly our wealth, and if we can take care of ourselves first, only then will we be capable of taking care of those in need with our fullest potential.
