As one who doesn't care for an overly bright sound and a higher level of volume listener, this one is not aligned with my preferences. Using micropore tape reveals a more reasonable upper range, strong mid bass, and nice resolution from the big 10mm driver. On the con side, I'd prefer the bass emphasis was shifted down a bit, went a bit deeper to back up the punch and generally felt it was a bit too fast to present instruments and vocals with a more realistic experience. The staging is mixed, you may prefer the height and depth or prefer a wider, more spacious presentation.
