Описание: An animation about empowering rhinos‬ in the wild‬. We tend to treat our wild commons like commodities, instead of as living, thinking, feeling beings that have the right to be. Each wild species provides the ecosystems it is inherently found in unique value by the very nature of its existence. These complex evolutionary relationships have been engineered over deep time to weave together the intricate tapestry of life on earth we humans belong to. Mega fauna, particularly iconic, keystone species play a critical role in maintaining the very structure of an ecological community. So their disappearance comes to affect many other organisms in an ecosystem, as their presence helps determine the types and numbers of various other species in a given niche. Yet we have begun to shoot, trap and poach the pulse of this planet for our myopic, unregulated, avaricious gain. We have grown obsessed with possessing the wild bounty, and making it ours through death. We consume death instead of conserving life. Over time we have grown systematically desensitized, and have devolved our engagement to our ancestors, to the wild, and have begun treating life like our appliances. We kill & cull on the one hand and farm & breed on the other, as if living beings are as easy to turn on and off as our handheld gadgets. This thought process made me coin the campaign below, where I envisioned the rhino from an IO button found commonly on most of our technological devices, to underscore the point that Rhinos, Elephants....life on earth is worth more alive than dead.
