Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has strongly condemned the #BJP for allegedly using "defamation as a political strategy", after #AssamCM Himanta Biswa Sarma accused Gogoi’s wife of links to Pakistan’s #ISI.
In an #exclusive appearance on India Today’s podcast with Preeti Choudhry, Gogoi addressed the controversy for the first time, calling the allegations baseless, anti-national, and part of a targeted smear #campaign.
“What would the BJP be without defamation and mudslinging? This is their bread and butter,” he said, criticising the ruling party’s repeated personal attacks.
