At BMJ Group, we consider AI to include large language models such as Chat GPT, and any other technologies which use machine learning, deep learning, logical reasoning, knowledge representation, planning or navigation, natural-language processing, perception, emergent intelligence, or any other similar or equivalent technologies from time to time. This may include technologies that make automated decisions. We recognise the potential for both benefit and harm to academic literature from the use of AI technologies.
