Deicide - Deicide - Guitar Cover (+Tabs)

Today’s first upload is my rendition of this absolute banger from Deicide’s first LP. I saw very few people covered it and even fewer tabbed it properly – I had to do it to ’em. It’s probably the least chaotic song from their early catalogue, drawing a lot of inspiration from early Slayer I find.

For the tone, I tried my best to emulate the early Deicide sound with Two-Notes Genome in-built stuff. I used a Boss-style OD in front of a capture of a 1985 Marshall JCM 800, followed by some heavy EQing in the mids, going into an IR from a Marshall 4*12 loaded with T-75s from York Audio. Further EQ was applied to the guitar bus using Fabfilter’s Pro Q-4 to try and shape the sound as close to the original as possible. Its not perfect, but it gets the job pretty well done.

The backing track was made using Moises.ai to decompose the track and isolate the rhythm guitars from the mix. The leads are the originals (of course, who else could play them that well anyways!!)
