IMPORTANT UPDATE!: We have found that some greases (including the stuff I used here) will cause the white plastic ring component to sort of swell a little bit and cause the stick to start sticking again. Use a drill bit by hand to open the holes in the white ring big enough so it moves without resistance again. From our long term tests you only have to do this once, it doesn't happen again.
