The court ordered that all false reports broadcast by Sakshi linking Heritage Foods to Bholebaba Dairy must be immediately removed. The media outlet was directed to take down all related links within 24 hours. If the Sakshi management fails to comply, platforms like Meta, Google, and YouTube have been instructed to remove the content directly. The order comes following a ₹100 crore defamation petition filed by Heritage Foods. During the tenure of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Y.V. Subbareddy as TTD Chairman, serious irregularities occurred in the procurement of ghee for Tirumala laddus. Strict procurement rules were relaxed, and tenders were allegedly awarded to Bholebaba Dairy in violation of regulations. Investigations revealed that substandard ghee—around 60 lakh kg, containing animal fat, palm oil, and chemicals—was supplied, and commissions of ₹25 per kg were allegedly collected. The entire operation was reportedly overseen from MP Vijayasai Reddy’s residence by Y.V. Subbareddy’s PA, Chinna Appanna. To divert public outrage after the adulterated ghee scandal became public, Jagan allegedly used Sakshi Media and social media to strategically bring the Heritage Foods name into the narrative. In reality, Heritage had no role in any Tirumala ghee tenders. Despite this, senior leaders like Botsa Satyanarayana repeatedly made false accusations against Heritage. Heritage Foods responded with legal notices to Jagan, Botsa, and other leaders. The Delhi High Court’s order now puts a check on the spread of these false claims by Sakshi Media.
