Testing for the Intel Core i5-10600K follows-up our deeply detailed 10900K review. The 10600K and 10900K are both featured in this content, alongside basically every modern AMD Ryzen CPU. The Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 7 3700X are the most relevant price comparison for new buyers, but we also have data for the 2700 and older CPUs for those looking at an upgrade. As for the best CPU for gaming, well, technically, that crown still belongs to the 10900K. At its price, though, it's not really a reasonable purchase for most consumers, and so the 10600K steps in competently to fill that role. The 3600 is significantly cheaper (~$80 to $100) and establishes a foothold in the more price competitive market, while the 3700X is the more cost comparative solution.
