How to beat Dave & Buster's Games - Gridiron Blitz

Gridiron Blitz is very much a short-term game; I'm not sure whether it resets daily or requires accumulated losses even overnight, but I BELIEVE it resets daily. I'll edit this if that's not the case. You're only going to be able to get a few jackpots out of this even if you're an amazing player, but it should be part of the AP repertoire.

There are a number of things to point out on this game:

ROUNDS 1 AND 2 DO NOT MATTER. AT ALL. (So long as you complete them.) The only round that matters for getting the jackpot is the final one; you do not need to worry about throwing down an amazing time early so conserve your burst of energy for the finale.

Rounds 1 and 2, 2 in particular, are important for timing dodging obstacles and knowing just how short of a jump you can get away with.

The jackpot round, at maximum, will allow you 9 seconds or less to score the jackpot. So if you see the number "1" pop up on the screen, you're already too late.

I've seen two possible settings for the payout on this machine: 20-20-50+500 constant for rounds 1-2-3-Jackpot on round 3, or 20-20-20+(progressive), where the jackpot starts at 500 and goes up 2 per loss. Whichever it is shouldn't affect you; 500 on 6.8 is worth going for if you can get it.

The new time to jackpot will be anything quicker than the time you just won with, so if you get to the last jump with more than 2 seconds to spare, don't jump right away! Try to time it out so you're only beating it by a couple tenths of a second. If you have that much time left, you have enough time to look up at the clock.

Every loss adds 0.05 seconds to the allowed time to jackpot, up to that maximum of 9 seconds. So if you got in early and racked it up to requiring 8 seconds for a win, and went and did your thing on other things, check back later as it doesn't take but 20 losses from 8 seconds to get it back to 9 seconds. This should be checked on just as much as 2-Minute Drill as that one rolls back quickly as well.

Round 3 strategy, as seen implemented in the second take:

Bolt as quick as you can, do the double jump, and wait for the eagle to jump across. Once that is done, take a few quick steps but stop short of the first ambulance/golf cart/motorcycle crossing path, as soon as that has passed, bolt and jump at the jump spot. If you did that quickly enough, the second motorcycle/whatever will have just passed and you can safely run through that section, same for the third. When you get to the last jump point, if you're ahead, look at the clock to see how close you can cut it.

*THE CLOCK STOPS WHEN BOTH FEET HIT THE GROUND ON THE FINAL JUMP.* You need to come up off the ground enough for it to register as a jump, but not so far the game thinks you jumped off the pad. This takes practice - but that's what rounds 1 and 2 are for, isn't it?

This isn't as sure of a thing as Clown, but as one of the play 3 free sports games promo it's a solid play. I managed to pop it about 50% today and went balls to the wall on the last run off-camera (which should be at/just under 8 seconds.)
