Let Go of Perfection: Embrace the Imperfect with Expressive Floral Painting

Описание: In this video, we explore how embracing imperfection can lead to more expressive, emotionally resonant artwork. I’ll walk through one of my processes for creating a loose floral painting using acrylics, intuitive mark-making, and a layered abstract base.

We start with a rich underpainting using Prussian blue and ultramarine blue, then layer on a soft blend of Naples yellow and titanium white to build contrast and atmosphere. From there, we play with Mars black, a stick for expressive marks, and semi-transparent greens to create a loose composition filled with texture, energy, and depth.
