Pixel 10 pro XL phone app speaker button not responding

Open the Google Phone dialer on the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
Dial a number.
Press the speaker button. 60% of the time, the button does nothing, meaning the speakerphone does not turn on even after pressing it.
If it does turn on, try pressing the button again to turn it off. Unfortunately, it doesn't work about 60% of the time.

The speakerphone should activate upon pressing the on-screen button. If the speakerphone is already on when the button is pressed, it should turn off.
