Claypaky fixtures are proved workhorses. All of the models, mine or friends, that I restored, required minor repairs in their electronics, and in the majority of the fixtures, all the PCB components looked original. In those old Stage Zooms, I've managed to salvage at the beginning of 2020, the only mechanical damage was in the motors closest to the lamp. Those lights were poorly maintained, but they worked still, avoiding worse damages!
They are amazing light shapers, with awesome glass gobos for artistic projections and aerials, very fast zoom and iris, a color wheel with the classic double color filters, deep red, and the realistic Ultra Violet filter. Their performance in the video is reduced, as I have removed the second ballast and installed an EMH 575 lamp Osram from the classic series, in order to be able to use them in my place without excessive luminosity and power consumption. But still, they are so bright. And heavy!
