Ok, first off *** I Am Not An Expert, nor did I claim to be *** no need to really break in a Tamiya motor (I used what I could get for this test), as it really had no difference with the outcome.
Thanks Tamiya Talk R/C (Chris) for putting this idea in my head...
I forgot the camera was on when I went to dyno the "control" motor and the card filled up, after resetting every thing, I plain forgot to record it (@ the same PRM as the other 3 Torque Tuned motors.
As for the water test, yeah, 10 mins, on 4.5 volts, was way too long...
Now you crawler guys, who run brushed motors, and go into water every now and then, keep an eye on your brushes, and always clean out your motor after the run and re-lube the bushings/bearings.
I have used the water method in the past (very early 90's) and that was done maybe 2 or 3 times till I heard of the low voltage way. Anyway, It's not a method I use or would even recommend using.... Sure, at 4 volts for 3 mins maybe would work, I don't trust it either way.
