Sweden’s Absolut Vodka plan to stop all exports after being boycotted for resuming sales to Russia despite sanctions.
Absolut’s Owner, the French liquor company Pernod Ricard, stopped exports in March last year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, however, the company quietly resumed sales to Russia earlier this month.
The company claimed it did this to protect staff in Russia from “criminal liability” and accusations of “intentional bankruptcy.”
Popular bars and restaurants across Stockholm boycotted Absolut Vodka resulting in Pernod Ricard once again stopping shipments to Russia.
