About 'PER5ONA: THE REAL QUTAPS’:
PER5ONA represents the journey of discovering who we are — as dancers, creators, and individuals. This year’s theme explores identity, authenticity, and the courage to express our true selves. Through dance and community, many QUTAPS members have uncovered parts of their persona shaped by Asian pop culture, creativity, and connection.
As we celebrate our 5th annual showcase, PER5ONA reflects how each of us has grown—both personally and collectively. It highlights the balance between who we are, who we aspire to be, and the confidence to show the “real” version of ourselves on stage.
Together, PER5ONA: The Real QUTAPS captures our story of unity, individuality, and the shared passion that brings our community to life.

Founded in 2017, QUTAPS (QUT Asian Pop Society) is a Brisbane-based community that celebrates Asian pop culture through dance. We host free weekly dance workshops, welcoming students of all levels to learn choreographies inspired by Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Filipino artists. Beyond dance, QUTAPS has become a place of connection — a community where friendships, confidence, and creativity flourish. Year after year, our annual showcase highlights the hard work of our members and the passion that unites us.
Now in our fifth year of showcases, QUTAPS continues to grow as a supportive, vibrant space for anyone who loves Asian pop and wants to be part of something meaningful.
