‘In all the years I am here, you will never get the exact same day twice’. Meet Paddy Rooney who is a much-loved character and legend in Dublin Port having worked here for almost 41 years!
Paddy first started as a Harbour Policeman for Dublin Port and Docks Board back in the 1970’s and served almost 30 years with the force. Paddy retired from the Harbour Police in 2008 but we could not keep him away from the docks for long!
He has continued to protect the Port as a much-valued member of Dublin Port Security for the last 10 years. Take a look!
