DA42 Differences Training During Bad Weather | IFR

Описание: It's finally time for a new aircraft type! After working at ‪@AbsolutePilots‬ for a few months I'm doing the differences training for our Diamond DA42 today and tomorrow - and I'm taking you along for the two flights around Graz and to Lesce-Bled, Slovenia!
The weather is not great, with low ceilings and rain - so we'll be flying IFR and using some of the advanced features of this plane. It's great IFR approach practice as well - a large portion of the flight is flown in actual IMC and the approach lighting system is always great to look at!

I really enjoy flying the DA42 - the FADEC makes it easy to operate and whilst I'm not used to a stick anymore and the control forces are higher than most other planes I've flown, it handles very well - steep turns are just a bit more exhausting! It uses the same engines as our C172 fleet, so it takes little time to get used to the new aircraft type.
