Описание: SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A press conference was held at the California State Capitol on March 9 for SB 1422.

In the current 2025-2026 legislative session, SB 1422 is the Medical Access Restoration Act, a bill introduced on February 20, 2026, aimed at restoring Medi-Cal eligibility for undocumented Californians aged 19 and older. 

The legislation is co-sponsored by 20 Democratic lawmakers, including Sen. Maria Durazo and
Sen. Anna Caballero.
