Описание: Continua la serie di video sul Polpo comune Octopus vulgaris, stavolta vogliamo far vedere come il mimetismo pressochè perfetto sia un' arma così efficace. Non certo per colpa del Polpo che anche in questo caso riesce a confondersi talmente bene con il fondale per cui risulta impossibile riconoscerlo dalla superficie, ma a causa di un intruso il Serranus scriba (anzi due).

Questo pesce appartenente alla famiglia dei Serranidi sembra essere un inseparabile compagno di vita del Polpo, e anche stavolta i due pesci rivelano la presenza del Polpo fissandolo da pochissimi centrimetri (quasi a voler far la spia al sub) e vanificando così la mimettizzazione praticamente perfetta.

Come si vede nel video non appena ci siamo avvicinati il Polpo cambia tattica difensiva passando dal mimetismo e quindi dalla scelta di risultare invisibile a quella di "apparire" sembrando più grosso e minaccioso cambiando forma e colore, ma anche questa strategia risulterà poco vantaggiosa ricorrendo quindi alla fuga.

As you can see in the video as soon as we approached the Octopus changes defensive tactics, passing from mimicry, the choice of being invisible, to that of "appearing" looking bigger and more threatening by changing shape and color, but even this strategy will be not very advantageous so escape results the only one way.
