The purpose of this masterclass is to provide journalists as well as journalism students with the know-how to use Twitter and Periscope for their daily work. The participants will be walked through the Twitter ecosystem and will discover how to successfully use this social media platform to research, curate and spread information in real-time and without any barriers. There will be special focus on Periscope, the 1-year-old app representing the ultimate frontier of live reporting. Organised and sponsored by Twitter. Please note that this session will be the same as the Twitter masterclass on Thursday 07 April at 10.00, due to the fact it forms part of the formal training programme run by the Italian National Association of Journalists.
