On Day 3 of the PSBJJ Team Gathering in Savannah, Georgia -
Greg Nelson spars with Jeff Curran, both 5th Degree Black Belts under Professor Pedro Sauer.
Professor Greg Nelson is a foundational pillar of the PSBJJ Association. In addition to being a high ranking BJJ coach and owner of The Academy Minnesota, Greg is also a former University of Minnesota (NCAA D-I) Wrestling Team member, All-American high school gymnast, a highly sought after World Class MMA coach, and has achieved the highest levels of instructorship in Muay Thai, Kali, Jeet Kune Do.
In addition to Martial Arts accomplishments, Greg Nelson is a 2x cancer survivor: he beat non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, followed by a second successful battle, surviving a rare form of nerve cancer called neurolymphomatosis. According to the Mayo Clinic, he was the first known survivor of this cancer, his case becoming instrumental to the development of a treatment for this rare disease.
