Characteristic: The Black Neon Tetra one of the easiest tetras to take care of. A group of at least 10 individuals is needed in order to make them feel comfortable. They prefer acidic water but tank-bred individual has been well adapted into normal water. It will also appreciate planted tank with soil or soft sand substrate.

Diet: Live tubifex, artemia, daphnia and high-grade pellet

Suitable tank mates: Other small peaceful tetras, Corydoras, plecos and pseudomugil
Unsuitable tank mates: Any aggressive fish such as African cichlids and predators.
