Be My Mirror was recorded while on the Diamonds and Pearls Tour.
Written specifically for the James L. Brooks movie “I’ll Do Anything,” and the track was re-recorded by actors Nick Nolte and Whittni Wright for the movie, that version was included as the fifth track on a planned I’ll Do Anything album.
When preview audience reactions to the music were overwhelmingly negative, all production numbers from the film were cut, and the album was abandoned.
