Stock vs GCam Episode 1: LG V50 ThinQ Photo Comparison!

Описание: If you’re familiar with my channel, then you know I do a lot of smartphone camera comparisons and I’ve been getting a lot of requests to compare the stock phone camera app with GCam, which for those unfamiliar is the camera app from Google Pixel phones that has been ported over to work with other Android phones. I personally don’t use Gcam, but I understand if you’re happy with your current phone, but prefer the look of Google’s HDR processing and don’t want to spend more money on a Pixel phone, then Gcam maybe an option for you.

This video will focus on comparing the stock camera app on the LG V50 vs Gcam. This is Gcam 7.32.018 version 2.5, which seems to be the current recommended stable build. If you’re curious about the settings, I had HDR+ enabled because results with it off looked pretty much the same, and using HDR+ Enhanced produced a yellow tint over the photos. Also, note that usability isn’t that great. The app restarts when changing between the lenses, and in dark situations the view finder goes completely dark when using Night Sight with the ultra wide angle camera. You need to point and shoot without seeing anything and hope for the best. Also, portrait mode only works on people, not objects like various products or pets.
