When two exes made films about their breakup

Описание: When the Oscar-winning cult classic film Lost in Translation came out in 2003 and the director, Sofia Coppola, had her marriage to fellow director Spike Jonze end just months later, it became clear the movie's characters and themes of isolation were directly drawn from Sofia's real life and relationship. 10 years later, her ex-husband Spike Jonze responded with a film of his own, Her, which explored his life and feelings following the end of the same relationship explored in both films, and directly engages with the themes and imagery introduced in Sofia's film. In this video, we examine how the two movies interact with each other and how each director portrays their unique perspectives on the end of their relationship through film.
