Sentiment was boosted by hopes of a U.S.-Iran peace deal, easing geopolitical tensions and falling crude oil prices. The Sensex surged 1,695 points to close at 75,527, while the Nifty 50 gained 461 points to settle at 23,622. Bank Nifty jumped 1,638 points to end at 56,814. Financial services, auto, realty, consumer durables, chemicals and cement stocks led the rally. The IT index was the only sectoral loser. Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finance, L&T, IndiGo, Titan, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank and Eternal were among the top gainers, while Nestlé India, ONGC and Tech Mahindra ended among the key losers.
