We visited the HALTON COUNTY RADIAL RAILWAY MUSEUM (HCRRM) where they collect, restore and operate vintage street cars.
Our previous video showed some action of the working cars taken from the ground.
This video shows what could be described as a CAB RIDE around the complete HCRRM trackage as we enjoyed the ride.
CAB RIDE is a little bit of a misnomer in this case because the car we rode upon really doesn’t have a ‘cab’ per se.
It does have a front bench where the operator works and where a few lucky passengers rode with him. We were further back in the seating .
I hope that you enjoy the ride as much as we did.
It was not our first visit to see this wonderful collection, but it was our first trip there in 2025,
Come with us to enjoy seeing some select units that were taken out of their car barns for passenger rides.
Much of our time there was spent gathering video footage. We did, however, take a ride on the amazingly restored car number 347 during which we employed a gopro to film a cab ride (or more correctly) a front bumper ride of the complete circuit including the loops at both ends of ride through the forest.
I wish to thank the staff and management of the HCRRM for permission to film the action there. The HCRRM is very conscious of the need for privacy for members of the public that visit the site, and we tried our very best to avoid capturing the faces of them. If you go there I believe that you will discover that the appeal of the HCRRM is a very broad one and consequently there will be many youngsters present and photographers and videographers may find it challenging to preserve their privacy.
If you have not ever been to the Halton County Radial Railway Museum, or if you have been there recently, I recommend that you do so. Take your camera to collect some memories.

Many of the units of the collection came from the Toronto Transit Commission over the years. They have some very neat maintenance of way units which I recall seeing in the Roncesvalle Carhouse in around the 1960’s when my brother and I were permitted access to observe.
