Contending that it was impossible for BJP government to abrogate Article 370 that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said confusion was being deliberately created on the issue which would further alienate the people of the state. The chief minister was speaking as the row over the remarks of Minister of State in the PMO Jitendra Singh's that efforts will be made to "convince" the "unconvinced" on abrogation of Article 37 continued to rage. Omar said the Centre should strengthen its relationshipwith the state, but such a move will further alienate the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The chief minister challenged the BJP-led NDA government to go ahead with the abrogation of the Article 370, but refused to divulge as to how his party National Conference will respond. Reacting to Omar's remarks that either J and K won't be part of India or Article 370 that grants special status to the state will still exist, senior RSS leader Ram Madhav said the state will always be an integral part of India with or without the provision. Madhav also asked whether the Chief Minister thought the state was his "parental estate". PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti speaks to TIMES NOW, says no power in this world can abrogate Article 370, also adds that BJP should rather discuss how to strengthen the Article. Social Media Links :-
