Laurent Souchet is participating in a race of solar bikes going from France to China called THE SUN TRIP. It is 12.000 km (7.500 miles) long unsupported race or electric bikes which are using solar panels to charge their batteries. Charging from a socket is not allowed. There are no checkpoints and no stages. The time is running constantly. Laurent rides on his AZUB SIX with open cockpit steering, 1000W motor, 448Wp solar panels and 1100Wh battery. He is averaging around 180 km a day and is currently on a 9th place.
