The wind that began on the great steppe does not remain in one place.

After the first rider hears its call and begins the journey across Mongolia, the wind moves westward. It crosses distant horizons and ancient roads that have carried travelers for thousands of years.

There, on the wide Anatolian plateau, another rider hears the same whisper.

At first it feels like nothing more than a shift in the air — the quiet movement of wind across dry grass and stone hills. But horses feel it before humans do. They turn their ears toward the horizon. They sense the rhythm of something approaching.

The rider understands.

The journey has already begun somewhere far away, and now the wind has arrived here.

Beside an old stone wall rests a bağlama, the long-necked Anatolian lute whose sound has carried the stories of travelers, poets, and wandering musicians across these lands for centuries. Draped nearby is a patterned kilim blanket and a worn saddle, silent traces of the rider who has just mounted and followed the same current moving across the earth.

The instrument remains behind, but its voice carries the memory of the road.

Musically, this piece introduces the sound of Anatolia through the bağlama, supported by subtle rhythmic textures that echo the steady motion of a horse crossing wide landscapes. The tone is warmer and more grounded than the opening steppe track, reflecting a journey that has now gained direction and momentum.

The wind is no longer only a whisper.

It has become a path.

And somewhere far beyond the mountains, other riders are beginning to hear it as well.

They believe they are following the wind.

But the wind is doing something else.

It is gathering them.
