Описание: Scenes of "Sullivan County, NY... 50 Years Later" feature images from my life as a mom, artist, musician, and fan of Woodstock. The music community in Sullivan county & adjacent counties is a hearty one. We gather often, celebrate the roots of peace, love, and music even now. Lots of country roads unveil pockets of music venues, only a fraction of them have been represented in the event posts. It's an honor to create videos of my friends, neighbors and anyone, for that matter, in The Sunshine Bus, a true happy place tribute bus. When some 400,000 plus people traveled here, into the town of Bethel August of 1969, it became a galvanized expression of young people peacefully assembling for a music and arts fair, amidst the backdrop of The Vietnam war... hippies letting their freak flags fly, stuck in mud after the rain, cars parked on the highway, wells running dry, just an unbelievable scene, without any violence tarnishing the mini city of music lovers. The area used to be home to many dairy farms, such as the Woodstock concert site: Max Yasgur's Farm. Max died of a heart attack at the age of 53, only 4 years after he graciously agreed to host the infamous concert. Meanwhile the thriving Borscht Belt years form 1920-1970 were on the decline. Much of the once vivacious vacation spots as depicted in movie "Dirty Dancing" have all gone. Composer Irving Berlin created alot of his music on the black keys of his piano, at his small town Sullivan County residence: Lew Beach. Art and music have been a legacy of this magical place for decades. You can feel that spiritual vibe here. The 50th anniversary art pieces in the video are representative of the concert vibe & are on indefinite display at the Sullivan County Government Center, Monticello, NY. 2nd Floor, come check them out! Some 50+ doves are strewn about the county (I painted number's 6 & 9) highlighted in a dove trail map. There's lots of camping, fishing, rail trails, craft breweries, wineries, distilleries, art spaces, open mics, free summer concerts to enjoy, as well as shows at the original Woodstock site, now called Bethel Woods located in Bethel, NY. Thanks for watching and as my dear Jewish friends say to me, I say to you "L'Chiam"!
