Bengal Elections 2026: TMC Manifesto Promises Cash Boost, Mamata Targets Centre, BJP Hits Back

Описание: As Bengal elections approach next month, the Trinamool Congress has unveiled its manifesto with ten key promises, including enhanced Lakshmi Bhandar aid increased by Rs 500 for women, support for unemployed youth through Bangla Yuga Inshati, a Rs 30,000 crore agriculture push, pakka housing for all, pipe-drinking water, doorstep healthcare, and modernised schools. The party also promises to expand social security, boost trade infrastructure, and create seven new districts. The manifesto launch turned political with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launching a sharp attack on the Centre, alleging there is undeclared President's rule in Bengal and accusing the Modi government of disregarding the Constitution and the law. The BJP hit back sharply, accusing Mamata Banerjee of insulting the President and dismissing the TMC's manifesto as mere rhetoric.
