Just one hot afternoon in Bangkok, we decided to drive to Bang Saen without a plan. We arrived at sunset, walked through the famous Bang Saen fish market, bought fresh seafood and cold beers, and headed straight to the beach to enjoy a Thai-style dinner sitting on the sand.

As the evening cooled down, Bang Saen came alive. Young locals hanging out, beachside bars, exotic drinks, live bands, and that relaxed seaside energy that makes this beach town special. It’s calm, vibrant, and only a short drive from Bangkok — making Bang Saen one of the best weekend getaways near Bangkok.
